Ryanair is an Irish ultra-low-cost airline headquartered in Swords, County Dublin, Ireland. It is the largest airline in Europe by scheduled passengers carried, fleet size, and total flights. Globally, it is the largest airline by international passengers carried, the third-largest by market capitalisation behind Delta Air Lines and United Airlines, and the fifth-most profitable by net income. In 2025, the company sold 208 million airline tickets, averaging €70 in total revenue against €62 in costs per ticket sold. It is widely considered to be the cheapest airline operating in Europe. Ryanair is an active scheduled passenger airline based in Ireland. You will see it in booking systems as IATA FR, and on the radio as "RYANAIR". OpenFlights tracks roughly 2484 scheduled route pairs flown under its codes, reaching about 176 separate destinations.

Network and hubs

The network depends on three things: where the airline holds slots, the aircraft sitting in its fleet, and the bilateral agreements between Ireland and the countries it serves. Like most carriers of its size, Ryanair operates from one or more home hubs, feeds nearby countries with regional flying, and stretches into longer thin routes wherever the demand and the aircraft line up.

Cabins and onboard product
