About Aegean Airlines

Aegean Airlines S.A. is the flag carrier of Greece and the largest Greek airline by total number of passengers carried, by number of destinations served, and by fleet size. A Star Alliance member since June 2010, it operates scheduled and charter services from Athens and Thessaloniki to other major Greek, European, Middle Eastern, African and Indian destinations. Its main hubs are Athens International Airport in Athens, Macedonia International Airport in Thessaloniki and Larnaca International Airport in Cyprus. Aegean Airlines is an active scheduled passenger airline based in Greece. You will see it in booking systems as IATA A3, and on the radio as "AEGEAN". OpenFlights tracks roughly 222 scheduled route pairs flown under its codes, reaching about 78 separate destinations.

Network and hubs

The network depends on three things: where the airline holds slots, the aircraft sitting in its fleet, and the bilateral agreements between Greece and the countries it serves.
